On April 16, Professor Ren Yi, President-elect of the Australian Association of International Education and Vice Chancellor (International) of the University of Southern Queensland, visited International College(IC), Xiamen University (XMU). Professor Tao Tao, dean of IC, had a discussion with the guests.
Dean Tao extended a warm welcome to the visit of Ren Yi and his delegation. He said that International College of Xiamen University and the University of Southern Queensland have a good foundation for cooperation, and the two sides are highly compatible with each other's educational philosophy. In the course of running the school, both sides sincerely cooperate to promote the smooth development of cooperation projects, and hope that the two sides can continue to promote and deepen cooperation in the future.
Ren Yi, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland fully affirmed the achievements of IC's international education, and said that the University of Southern Queensland attaches great importance to the cooperation with IC, Xiamen University. It’s expected that the two sides on the basis of the original cooperation, continuously tap the cooperation potential, promote the integration of industry, university and research, and further explore the possibility of cooperation in the digital field of big data and artificial intelligence.
During the visit, Vice Chancellor, Ren Yi and his delegation also visited the Zhangzhou Campus of Xiamen University to learn about the characteristics and advantages of the school's internationalization.
