On April 25, International College(IC), XMU invited police officers to give a lecture on the theme of "the rule of law enters the campus, and the study of law promotes growth". The lecture was presided over by Ma Xianghua, deputy secretary of the party committee of IC.
In the lecture, the police officers combined their own work experience, real cases and relevant legal provisions, explained the law with cases, discussed matters with law, and introduced in detail the relevant legal knowledge in five aspects: property rights, personal rights, telecommunications fraud, national security, and "pornography, gambling and drugs", guiding students to establish a correct world view, outlook on life and values, enrich legal knowledge, enhance the concept of the rule of law, and enhance their self-protection ability.
During the Q&A session, the police officer patiently answered the legal questions raised by the students. The atmosphere of the lecture was warm, and the students felt that they had benefited a lot.
At the end of the lecture, Ma Xianghua, made a summary of the activity, sincerely thanking the police officer for giving everyone a guiding and educational law popularization class from many aspects, helping students to grow into talents, and hoping that students can apply legal knowledge to daily life, so as to know the law and abide by the law, understand the law and use the law, and jointly create a harmonious, safe, stable and law-based campus environment.
This lecture on the publicity and education of the rule of law warned the students to stay away from illegal crimes, improve the concept of the rule of law and legal literacy, and make the concept of consciously learning the law, abiding by the law and using the law more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. IC will continue to integrate law-abiding education into daily life and grasp it regularly, constantly enrich the form of publicity and learning, and earnestly do a good job in the construction of the rule of law on a safe campus, so as to escort the growth of students.
