Assistant Principal of Shizuoka Sangyo University and His Group Visited International College
Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro assistant principal of Shizuoka Sangyo University and his group visited International College during 18th and 19 November, communicating with the coordinators on the students’ study and adjustment of some cooperative details.
On 18th, Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro prepared the enrollment exam for three students from the China-Japan programs and discussed some issues with the coordinators, such as enrollment, scholarship, visa application fee and students’ accommodation in Japan. Shizuoka Sangyo University provides one quota for the full scholarship every year, depending on the students’ marks of the enrollment exam. In addition, admitted students can apply for other fellowship after they go there.
On 19th, Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro met the students from the 2009 and 2010 cooperative programs. The students introduced themselves in fluent Japanese, which impressed Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro a lot. The 2009 student also introduced their current study and plan to him. They will attend the N2 test in December. Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro said learning Japanese well and passing N2 test would be very helpful for them to go further study in Japan and wished them good luck. He also asked the students to get well-prepared with the coming interview.
Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro brought the students special gifts, silver pens with a little ghost and logo of Shizuoka Sangyo University. He hopes that all the students can study hard and make a great progress on their Japanese learning. Afterwards, Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro gave a brief introduction of Shizuoka from different perspectives, such as geographical and life environment. He also introduced Shizuoka Sangyo University from its organization of different schools, specialty setting and discipline orientation. Shizuoka Sangyo University consists of two schools, school of information and school of management, with information and design and international information offered by the former one. There will be some subtle changes in the disciplines, for example, the Asian business in the international information will be changed into international business.
Professor Ikuhiro koyauchiikuhiro provided three suggestions on the Japanese learning for the students. First, it would be more efficient to combine the sentences and texts under the context in learning vocabulary and grammar. Second, keeping a diary is a helpful way to improve Japanese learning. Third, students can use shadowing learning to improve their listening skill.
Two sessions of students have been admitted in this program. The 2007 students have been to Shizuoka Sangyo University to finish their fourth year’s courses. The 2008 students will go into their third year study this semester.
