In order to facilitate students to better understand their favorite schools and to choose suitable foreign universities, the International College invited representatives of many British universities to hold seminars for the 2012 students who are about to study abroad in the next year. Until now, the UK Leeds Beckett University, University of Greenwich, University of Central Lancashire, and Cardiff University have held workshops for students.
In the afternoon of October 14,Mr. Liu Xingfei, the representative for the UK Leeds Beckett University, introducedthe campus environment, academic exchanges, student projects and internshipssituation of the university, and he also answeredquestions about scholarships, language courses, and graduate programs.
In the afternoon of October 16th, Wang Yazhen, on behalf of the University of Greenwich, held a seminar with the students in Room C404 of the Kun Luan Building . He introduced the outline and the training system of the University of Greenwich.
In the afternoon of October 27th,Ms. Louisa Jones, Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management in the University of Central Lancashire, brought a lesson on corporate strategic managementso that students could learn something about foreign classroom atmosphere. Then,Mr. Li Bin, Chief Representative of Cardiff City Universityin China, and Mr. Chen Shengping, Senior Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, presented the school's basic situation and interacted with the students.
Oversea study seminars were very popular with teachers and students. Attendants said that to choose an excellent and suitable university is very crucial to each student. Such seminars can help them learn more about courses of the universities and oversea study.
Recently, the College will arrange more lectures for students to study abroad. Hopefully, students would attention and attend those lectures.And we also wish that the students would find their own favorite universities and study abroad successfully.
